It was a pleasure to meet the residents and staff at Leonard Cheshire's Newhaven care home & the respite service in Granton today. Both places offer a really homely and friendly environment with specialist care and support for adults with physical disabilities.
This was a great opportunity to learn more about the work done by this fantastic charity in Edinburgh North and Leith, and discuss the wider issues affecting disabled people – from access to care and support, to the blue badge scheme and using public transport.
