Traidcraft Big Brew

It's Fairtrade Fortnight, and this Friday and Saturday I attended two 'Tradecraft Big Brew' fundraising events in north Edinburgh, where copious amounts of coffee, tea and delicious home baking was consumed.

All the goods were fair trade and all the money raised was to help lift people out of poverty in rural Africa, where 70% of people depend on agriculture for income. It's a great idea and my thanks to Rosemary and Anne who hosted at their homes and to all the Wardie Church and St Augustine United church members for supporting these wonderful events.

As well as the fundraising and tea supping there was lots of chat on issues like renewables, ecology, and even potholes
